First published in 1953, Acta Microbiologica Sinica is an academic periodical sponsored by the Institute of Microbiology , Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Society for Microbiology, and published by Science Press, China. It is intended to present all aspects of research and development, and significant scientific advances in the fields of microbiology in China, to enhance the academic exchange and to promote the transfer of academic achievements. Papers published in this journal are indexed by several important domestic and international retrieval journals such as Chinese Scientific Citation Indexes, CA, BA, AJ of VINITI, and MEDLINE. The journal involves works in the fields of general microbiology, industrial microbiology, agricultural microbiology, agrologic microbiology, virology, veterinary microbiology, immunology and bioengineering.
