CAS Key Laboratory of Systematic Mycology and Lichenology held 2009 Scientific Seminar on June 6 and 7. Principals of General Office and Integrated Biology Department of Bureau of Life Science and Biotechnology, CAS, leaders of IMCAS, together with about 100 scientists and postgraduates of the laboratory attended the event.

The seminar comprised keynote speeches, introduction of postgraduates’ progress, as well as Novozymes and Givaudan Scholarships awarding.

Prof. Dexing Zhang, Deputy Director of Institute of Zoology, CAS made a keynote speech titling Molecular Ecology in Genomics Era, which was followed by the lectures of Dr. Lei Cai from Novozymes and Prof. Cheng Jin, deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Systematic Mycology and Lichenology. 

After deliberate appraisal, 8 graduate students were awarded Novozymes Excellent Postgraduate Scholarship and Givaudan Excellent Postgraduate Scholarship: Fan Zhang, Min An, Shuhua Ge, Yuanying Su, Yan Li, Xianzhi Jiang, Xihong He and Guojie Li. Wenchao Li, Ling Liu and Gang Ding were awarded Novozymes Excellent Thesis and Givaudan Excellent Thesis. While Novozymes Excellent Publication and Givaudan Excellent Publication went to Yang Lu, Gang Ding and Ling Liu.
