The main goal of the Center is to establish a multidisciplinary High-Throughput-Screening (HTS) platform for “super microbes” and commercial significant microbial metabolites, which includes genomics, proteomics, metabonomics, bioinformatics and natural product chemistry. The primary objective of the Center is to screen from our diverse and unique microbial library of marine and terrestrial microorganisms, isolate novel natural products, screen these products for potential biological and pharmacological properties and optimize microbial strain by methodology of precision engineering. The HTS Center offers an automated robotic system suitable for high throughput screening, high-quality microbial libraries and novel biological screening assays.
