Research field

Genetic evolution, inter-species transmission and pathogenesis of avian influenza viruses (AIVs) and emerging or re-emerging viruses
(1) Active surveillance and tracing the genetic origin of novel influenza and other viruses.
(2) Exploring the ecology, pathogenesis, and the public risks of the novel viruses.
(3) Developing diagnostic method and antiviral measures (drug and vaccine design).
