Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) and National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biological Resources in Beijing on January 12, 2016.
The cooperation aims to promote the exchange of experts in training of scientific and technical personnel, collaborate in the formation of biological resource center networks, exchange biological resources and collaborate with World Data Centre for Microorganisms (WDCM) global network in information area.
Prof. LIU Shuangjiang, director-general of IMCAS and Prof. TATSUMI, president of NITE signed the MoU, which marked the fourth round of cooperation. Two institutes signed the first MoU in on June 29, 2005.
Mr. CHEN Linhao, deputy director-general, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology, China praised the linkage between IMCAS and NITE on the basis of mutual understanding and scientific cooperation.
NITE provides technical support for economic and industrial administration in Japan and has one of the world’s largest biological resource centers for microorganisms.
