Annual China-Japan Joint Laboratory Workshop was held at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) on November 1, 2013. The meeting started with the welcome remark by Prof. LIU Shuang-Jiang, Director-General of IMCAS. Following his speech, both Prof. Yoshinori Murakami, vice dean of the Institute of Medical Science, University of Tokyo (IMSUT) and Mr. Wataru Todoroki, the 1st secretary of the Embassy of Japan in China, gave their speeches.

During the scientific sessions, the junior and senior speakers from the China-Japan Joint Laboratories at the Institute of Microbiology and Institute of Biophysics, as well as speakers from the IMSUT presented their most recent scientific findings and contributed to active discussion. The workshop facilitated the exchange of scientific information and strengthened the friendship between the Chinese and Japanese participants.
