On November 4, Prof. Allan William Cripps, Pro Vice Chancellor (Health) of Griffith University, paid a visit to Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS).
Prof. HUANG Li, Director General of IMCAS met the guests and introduced the development of IMCAS since its establishment in 1958. Prof. ZHANG Lixin, LIU Wenjun and CHEN Jilong specified their research areas and achievement in CAS Key Laboratory of Pathogenic Microbiology and Immunology. Prof. Cripps appreciated the improvement of IMCAS and hoped to conduct cooperation in infectious diseases, vaccine development and immunology. He proposed that bilateral researchers applied for Queensland-Chinese Academy of Sciences (QCAS) Biotechnology Fund to conduct practical collaboration.
Since establishment in 1971, Griffith University has come to be regarded as one of Australia's most innovative tertiary institutions and one of the most influential universities in the Asia-Pacific region. It enjoys high reputation in developing immunology medicine and epidemic disease research.
