FANG Rongxiang, academician at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) led a research group to visit Hulunbuir Agricultural Reclamation Potato Industry (group) co., Ltd. (HU Reclamation Potato Industry) from July 4 to 5, 2018.

They visited the demonstration area of green breeding technique for potato seed, and negotiated on in-depth cooperation between IMCAS and HU Reclamation Potato Industry.

The research team went to the micro potato breeding base of Xie Er Tala Town of HU Reclamation Potato Industry, the elite breeding center of Baorixile Town and the production base of commodity potato of Chen Barag Qi and held the Strategic Conversation on Development of Potato Seed Industry.

Fang Rongxiang signed the agreement of "Joint Declaration to Apply for Academicians and Expert Workstation" with the HU Reclamation Potato Industry.

Both parties reached a consensus on the cooperation of science and technology development of potato industry, talent training on agricultural technology, research application.

IMCAS and HU Reclamation Potato Industry prepared to construct the academicians and expert workstation in order to have a research and development base in Hulunbuir, to effectively promote the cooperation, and to improve the application of agricultural science and technology in combination with innovation and technical achievements.

Hulunbuir City in Inner Mongolia is a prefectural-level city which has the biggest land area in China. It is equal to the total of areas of Shandong Province and Jiangsu Province, and the total cultivated area is up to 3,000 mu, and is one of the main grain-producing area.
