2014 Postgraduate Ceremony & the 16^th Director Scholarship and Director-Faculty Scholarship of Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) was held in Beijing on June 30, 2014.

Prof. LIU Shuangjiang, director-general, congratulated and expressed his best wishes to all the graduates. Prof. CHEN Jilong, one of Director- Faculty Scholarship awardees, expressed his joy to share this happy moment with them. SUN Fei, student represent, said the Chinese saying “Without the continuous bitter cold, there can be no fragrant plum blossom” could well describe the hardships of doing research.

At this ceremony, Prof. WEN Tingyi and four other faculties were awarded Director-Faculty Scholarship, while HUO Yan and other 24 postgraduates obtained Director Scholarship.

68 Ph.D. candidates and 39 masters graduate this year. LI Junxiong, deputy director of IMCAS, also attended this ceremony.
