Prof. DONG Xiuzhu is awarded Excellent Female Staff by State Organs Work Committee of the CPC in 2011. Among 100 female awardees nationwide, only two staff are granted such honor in Chinese Academy of Sciences. This honor awards female staff with outstanding performance in their work.

She is now principle investigator and director of State Key Lab. of Microbial Resources, Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
