On October 22, the 2010 Annual Meeting of Graduate Students in Department of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology (DIMB) was held in Beijing, attended by over 90 researchers in IMCAS.

Prof. HUANG Li delivered a speech in the opening ceremony, expressing his congratulations on the past achievement of DIMB and hope for the future development. In the meeting, excellent graduate students were awarded the Yipin scholarship and certificates. Three prominent researcher representatives were invited to give academic speeches in industrial microbiology, in which they introduced cut-edging development of microbiology and their experience in scientific research.

The meeting also included academic report and panel competition. Competitors delivered 19 reports and displayed 14 panels. After hearing their reports, researchers gave them valuable advice in terms of research progress, experimental design, innovation, etc. After the competition, some students who did well in the reports or panels were awarded certificates.
