The 2010 Annual Academic Meeting of Graduate Students & Scholarship-awarding Ceremony in State Key Laboratory of Microbial Resources was held in Beijing from June 24 to 25. Prof. Xiuzhu DONG, Director of the laboratory, hosted the meeting with the presence of almost 130 researchers and graduate students.

Prof. Runsheng CHEN, academician in Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBPCAS), delivered an academic report titled "Genomics and Bio Informatics". He expounded on the origin, development and important role of bio informatics.

The meeting consisted of 46 reports and 23 panels. Judges gave many precious suggestions on research progress, experimental design and creativity, etc. They also chose the excellent reports and panels. At last, Prof. Xiuzhu Dong made concluding remarks expressing her thanks for the efforts of every one involved.
