On Oct. 12, 2009, the 1st CAS IPRs Training Court of Biology, co-organized by Bureau of Planning and Finance, Chinese Academy of Sciences (BPFCAS), Intellectual Property Research and Training Center, CAS (IPRTCCAS) as well as Institute of Microbiology, CAS (IMCAS) was held at IMCAS. More than 150 postgraduates, researchers and administrative staff from IMCAS, CAS Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Institute of Biophysics, Institute of Psychology, Beijing Institute of Genomics, Institute of Zoology and Institute of Process Engineering attended the court.

IMCAS Executive Deputy Director Li HUANG delivered a welcome speech. Associate Researcher of IPRTCCAS Hefa SONG, Head of Medicine and Biology Division of the Patent Reexamination Board Wenxia MA and Head of Protein Engineering Division, Medicine and Biology Patent Examination Department, Bureau of Patent Mao CHANG from the State Intellectual Property Office, as well as Head of Intellectual Property Administration Department of BPFCAS Xingxian YANG made lectures successively. Director of IPRTCCAS Xiling LI also attended the training course.
