Title: Cell-based assays for high throughput biology and anti-microbial drug discovery

Presenter: Frank Fan, Ph.D.

University: Director of Research, Promega Corporation

Time: 9:00-12:00, June 27, 2012

Venue: Room A201, Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Abstract: Cell-based tools and assays have been used more and more for basic research and drug discovery. In particular, bioluminescent assays are simple to utilize, offer much greater sensitivity, extended linearity, and reduced interference from compound collections. This seminar will highlight advances in cell-based assays in drug discovery with a focus on anti-microbials.
