Institute of Microbiology (IM) cooperates with LAF International Group in the development of biotechnology applicable to hair care and skin care products, especially the biotechnology of anti-oxidation, anti-aging bio-active substances for different hair types and skin types, technical production research on bio hair care and skin care.

The cooperative research is mainly performed by Dr. DONG Zhiyang’s team. His team studies microbial enzymology. They search for valuable enzyme genes through metagenomic tools from microbes habitating in extreme ecosystems such as hot spring. They also develop enzyme products through construction of expression systems and optimization of fermentation techniques.

Position available: Postdoctoral fellow (1-2)

Responsibility: Perform research on application of biotechnology in hair care and skin care products

Qualification:

Ph.D degree of biochemistry, microbiology, food science, fine chemical or related area

Strong academic background and experimental practice

Good publication on peer-reviewed journals

Commitment to research, management skills and spirit of team work

Good writing and communication skills in both Chinese and English
