IMCAS Hosts Meeting of Cryptogamic Flora of China to Celebrate the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist of Party of China

The meeting on the Cryptogamic Flora of China, hosted jointly by the Editorial Board of the Cryptogamic Flora of China, the Chinese Academy of Science and the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Science (IMCAS), was held on July 6, 2021 to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China.

Over 48 years, 370 authors from 102 scientific research and teaching units in China published 113 volumes of Cryptogamic Flora of China, including 19,652 species, 2,255 genus, 424 families of cryptogamic plants, 14,246 pictures, with a total number of 43,343,000 words supported by the funding of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Chinese Academy of Science,

CAS academician WEI Jiangchun congratulated all the editors in regard of their work and contributions, and hoped young cryptogamic botanists would continue work on the future compilation of both Chinese and English versions.
