The 2021 graduation ceremony, the 23rd director-general award and teaching award of Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) and the farewell party was held on July 2.
58 graduates in 2020 and 59 in 2021 received their doctorates, while 52 graduates in 2020, 65 in 2021 obtained their master's degrees. Prof. QIAN also announced the list of award-winning teachers and students. 7 tutors including CAS academician GAO Fu received the Director’s Teaching Award. DING Yong and others 23 graduate students received the director scholarship.
The sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly. The graduates and tutors took a group photo together in front of the institute, leaving a good memory for this precious time in their life. On behalf of the institute, Prof. QIAN Wei, Director-General, expressed his congratulations to the students who have obtained Ph.D. and master's degrees, and to all the tutors who have worked hard to cultivate outstanding graduate students, and all the leaders and colleagues who have contributed to the cultivation of graduate students of the institute. He hoped every graduate would have confidence in their future no matter whether there are difficulties, fatigue, disappointment or confusion.
On the degree awarding ceremony, the graduates came to the stage. Prof. QIAN, Prof. XIANG Hua, Prof. LIU Cuihua and Prof. GUO Huishan presented certificates to the graduates, and took a group photo to record this happy moment.
