The Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS, http://www.im.cas.cn) is the largest microbiological research institution in China. Holding “Microbe, High-Tech, and Big Industry” as its development strategy, IMCAS, founded on December 3, 1958, is one of the most influential national comprehensive research institutions in microbiology.
Pathogenic microorganisms and immunity, microbial resources, and microbial technology as the main research fields, It has five key laboratories: the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Resources, the State Key Laboratory of Mycology, the State Key Laboratory of Plant Genomics (jointly established with the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, CAS), the Key Laboratory of Pathogenic Microbiology and Immunology, and the Key Laboratory of Microbial Physiology and Metabolic Engineering, CAS. 1、 Position conditions
Applicants are required to have received their doctor’s degrees in one of the areas mentioned above. Generally, applicants should be under the age of 50 (as of January 1 of the application year), have worked in a well-known university or scientific research institution or large R&D institution and have made outstanding scientific research achievements, and can lead the development direction of the discipline.
The applicant should have experience working as a professor or equivalent in a well-known overseas research institution, university or large enterprise R&D institution. Especially outstanding or urgent, may be extended to associate professor or equivalent position.
Applicants should be proactive and innovative, have rigorous and realistic research spirit, good teamwork spirit, excellent communication skills, etc .Applicants should be healthy and capable to work full-time.

2、 Competitive research fund & salary package:
Research condition: Research start-up fund of 10-15 million RMB ；Successful candidates will get sufficient research start-up funds, a large experimental and office space with an area of 200m2 to 250 m2, and comprehensive public facilities.
Project funding: we will support successful candidates in their applications for national or CAS talent projects.
Welfare: The agreed annual salary is not less than 1 million and a settling-in allowance of 3.6 million RMB.
