1. Introduction

The Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS, http://www.im.cas.cn) was founded on December 3, 1958, located in the Olympic Village of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chaoyang District, Beijing, adjacent to the "Bird's Nest" and the national 5A-level forest park. IMCAS is one of the largest comprehensive national research institutes of microbiological science in the world, and takes pathogenic microorganisms and immunity, microbial resources, and microbial technology as its main research fields.

Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) was among the first research institutions approved by the State Council in 1978 to grant master's and doctoral degrees. It offers programs in two primary disciplines: Biology and Basic Medicine, which encompass five secondary disciplines, including Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Immunology, and Pathogen Biology. The Postdoctoral Research Mobile Station of IMCAS was established in 1988, and currently hosts over 170 postdoctoral researchers working on projects spanning various research fields within the institute.

2. Professional field

Research direction: The institute includes biology, basic medicine, microbiology, pharmacy, microbiome, microbial genetics, plant-microbe interaction, biochemistry and molecular biology, pathogen biology, immunology and bioengineering, bioinformatics, synthetic biology and other related specialties.

3. Basic Qualifications

Fresh PhD graduates, graduated from well-known universities or research institutes, aged no more than 35 years old (inclusive), must work full-time in the institute after entering the station;published at least one research paper as the first author in the international mainstream journals of the specialty.

4. Support, Salary and Benefits

• Salary and welfare: Starting from 25-360000 yuan per year (including five social insurances and one housing fund).
• Scientific research support and career development: Encourage and assist in applying for relevant postdoctoral funds and other plans. Postdoctoral researchers can apply for the post of associate professor according to the post management of the second-level professional and technical position of assistant professor. Outstanding postdoctoral fellows can have priority to stay in the Institute, and will be provided with competitive salary and development space.
• Children's enrollment: According to the relevant regulations of the state and CAS, the eligible postdoctoral fellows will be assisted to enroll their children in the corresponding schools in the administrative region where the collective household registration is located.
