hLife is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to report and highlight original and high-impact discoveries in the health sciences, linking basic research to transformative medicine that could improve human health. Disciplines include all aspects of medicine-related research and health policy. hLife considers papers of the highest quality, and the main types of content include article, review, letter, perspective, commentary, resource, editorial, dialogue, and recollection.

The editors-in-chief are Professors George F. Gao, Chen Dong, and Jules A. Hoffmann. hLife is sponsored by the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Society of Biotechnology, D.H. Chen School of Universal Health, Zhejiang University, Westlake University School of Medicine, Shanghai Immune Therapy Institute, and Sino-French Hoffmann Institute, in cooperation with the international publisher Elsevier, and all papers were searchable on ScienceDirect.

hLife is made up of healthier, happier and harmonious life together. The mission is to provide both a window and a platform for the dissemination of innovative scientific information and the advancement of a sustainable scientific culture, with the ultimate goal of empowering us all to live healthier, happier and harmonious lives.

All Article Publishing Charges for articles accepted by hLife will be waived by 2026.

hLife is launched in November 2023, and is indexed in Scopus, DOAJ, CSCD.
