IMCAS Signs MoU with Norwegian Veterinary Institute

Mr. Gaute Lenvik, Director General of Norwegian Veterinary Institute (NIV) led a delegation to visit Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) on Nov. 8, 2019.

 

He said that he was glad to visit IMCAS, and was impressed by the academic achievements in recent years. Norwegian Research Institute has a cooperative perspective with IMCAS on avian influenza, development of diagnostics and vaccines, etc.

 

Prof. XIANG Hua, Deputy Director-General at IMCAS and Gaute Lenvik at NVI signed the MoU to cooperate on research fields of mutual interest and to engage in cooperative activities including joint programs and academic training in the future.

 

The Norwegian Veterinary Institute is a biomedical research institute, and the Norwegian leading center of expertise in biosecurity in fish and land animals. As Norway is located at the Arctic Circle, it has a significant geographical position on virus prevention and epidemiological investigation.
