Joint Fungal Research and Development Base Launched in Hangzhou

The “Joint Fungal Research and Development Base” cooperated by State Key Laboratory of Mycology, the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy Sciences (IMCAS) and Hangzhou Huadong Medicine Co., Ltd. was launched formally in Hangzhou.

WANG Hongyan, senior researcher of the microbial technology platform of Hangzhou Huadong Medicine Co., Ltd. presided over the unveiling ceremony and introduced the cooperation. FU Lifeng, deputy director expressed the high expectation and support for the future cooperation. LIU Xingzhog from IMCAS traced back the history of bilateral cooperation and he also stated that the specific projects will be conducted steadfastly and actually in future.

Aimed at the meet the demands of the enterprise, LIU and YIN Wenbing from IMCAS provided guidance on the bio-organic fertilizer fermented from cordyceps sinensis and discussed the next cooperation plan as well as the united training of the Master students of Engineering and the postdoctoral.

The cooperation was first begun in April, 2017, and the agreement was signed in August, 2017. Hangzhou Huadong Medicine Co., Ltd. was mainly engaged in the production and sale of the antibiotic, Chinese patent medicine, synthetic drug and the genetic engineering medicine drug.
