The 2017 graduation ceremony, the 19th director-general award and teaching award of Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held on the morning of June 28.
LIU Shuang-Jiang, director-general gave the first speech. On behalf of the institute, he expressed congratulations to the graduates on their successful completion of their studies and thanked their contribution to the institute. He said, “In the past, the institute of microbiology is proud of you joining, and will be still proud of you in the future.” He hoped that graduates would use their acknowledge learning from the institute of microbiology to create a great future.
Prof. LIU Hongwei declared the list of award-winning teachers and students. Six tutors, such as the academician GAO Fu, won the teaching award. Thirteen students, such as CAI Zhen, received the 19th director-general award.
Assoc. Prof. FENG Jie delivered the award-winning speech as the representative of Awarded tutor. CHEN Liang also gave the award speech on behalf of graduates and award-winning students. Assoc. Prof. FENG Jie congratulated the graduates and shared her experience on the scientific research. She wished all graduates a great future and hoped that graduates often went home to see their parents.
In 2017, 99 students graduate in the institute including 40 doctoral candidates and 59 master candidates.
After the ceremony, the Institute of Microbiology held a farewell party for all the graduates. LI Junxiong, deputy director-general congratulated all the graduates and hoped that graduates can uphold their ideal and become a useful person. SONG Xiaofeng, Chairman of Graduate union wished graduates have a promising future. The representatives of graduates sang a song "hard to say goodbye". Finally, the party ended with the song"departure".
After the end of the ceremony, the students took a group photo. All graduates are about to start a new journey and the photo is so precious that this scene will be remembered for ever.
