Prof. Abbaskhan Sabirkhanovich, director of the A.S.Sadykov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Uzbek Academy of Sciences (IBCUAS), visited the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) to negotiate cooperation in potato related researches on February 29, 2016.
LI Junxiong, deputy director-general of IMCAS, greatly welcomed Sabirkhanovich and briefly introduced the achievement of IMCAS in potato industry researches. Prof. ZHONG Naiqin, the main group leader of potato program at IMCAS, summarized her studies in potato industry chain and particularly displayed her results in reducing fertilizer and drugs.
Sabirkhanovich was enthusiastic on the virus-free potato researches and cultivation technologies. For the demand of Uzbekistan in potato technologies, he expressed sincerity to establish cooperation in mini-tuber of potato, fertilizer science and virus-free technology with IMCAS. He was willing to introduce the new techniques of IMCAS in potato researches in Uzbek and deepen the cooperation between IBCUAS and IMCAS.
