IMCAS Hosts 2nd Seminar on China–Thailand Joint Laboratory on Microbial Biotechnology

The Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) hosted the second seminar on China – Thailand Joint Laboratory on Microbial Biotechnology in Beijing on May 7, 2018. Over 20 scientists and staff from IMCAS, Institute of Hydrobiology, CAS, China and BIOTEC, TISTR from Thailand attended this seminar.

 

The seminar covered the discussion on Yeast Evolution and Biotechnology Application, Waste Water, Microalgae, Microbial Genome and technology transfer.

 

The mechanisms of the joint lab’s research activities and management were also topics of mutual interest.

 

Prof. LIU Shuangjiang, Director-General of IMCAS, Dr. Somvong Tragoonrung, BIOTEC and Dr. Luxsamee Plangsangmas, Governor of TISTR signed MoU on Thailand-China Joint Laboratory on Microbial Biotechnology on the Opening Ceremony of CAS Innovation Cooperation Center (Bangkok) on December 8, 2017.
